Helping Veterans
An experienced service dog trainer, has joined our ministry team! With that partnership, we provide In-House training for service dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD, and who need emotional support. We place the puppy with the veteran as soon as they are weaned! We have seen a greater rate of success with our service dogs in training when they get to be with the Veteran they will be serving. This method allows the dogs and veterans to develop a deep and meaningful bond, that leads to higher rates of success! We train service dogs for the purpose of giving them, at no cost, to the veterans.
On average, it costs a veteran $27,000 for a PTSD service dog that they would be paying out of pocket. HomePlace provides the service dog a NO COST to the veteran.
